Natron wasn't here for this first date of the tour (broken car and impossibility
to take a plane from Italy because Clinton is playing war in Europe). Bloody
Tears (I'm not sure of the name now) replaced them very well, even though they
seemed a little inexperienced on stage.
Misanthrope, Misanthrope, Misanthrope! They started the show with a Matador de
l'Extrême that was, err, ...extreme! A lot a changes since the
last time. S.A.S de L'Argilière left his guitar to Xavier Boscher and
concentrate on the vocals. Bénédicte Albanhac replaces Sergio at the keyboards
(the last time, she was playing with Penumbra). She was a little tense for her
first gig with Misanthrope, but she did very well. S.A.S, as a modern spiritual
heir of Alceste, is wearing a black suit over a 17th century style silver shirt
and with small dark glasses!
Misanthrope plays hymn after hymn: Courtisane Syphilitique, Futile Future, Total
Eclipse Chaos, Combattant sans Sépulture, L'écume des Chouans, Misanthrope
Necromancer, Batisseur de Cathédrales, Libertine Humiliations to finish as
usual with the sublime Le Roman Noir.
Thanks to Xavier and his fantastique work with the guitar the sound is much more
Heavy Metal than on the albums. Needless to say, the other are still as good as
ever.
What, it's already finished? Never a concert seemed so short to me. However they
played ten songs...
At the Club Dunois the always a problem. This time it was Septic Flesh who
suffered from it. Despite the extreme heat they offered us a superb concert.
Their music is surprisingly suited to the stage. I regreted a little the absence
fo the wonderful voice of Nathalie Rassoulis, but you can't get everything.
;-)
This was definitively a very intense concert, superb. I'm already waiting for
the next one.
