The Daemons are approaching... 16/1/03

Misanthrope is back from Finlande after completing the mix of the new album. Obviously all went very well as S.A.S de l'Argilière is euphoric: "the mix is fantastic, we are very satisfied, the sound is enormous, powerful, precise and Metal. With Sadistic Sex Daemon this is the great return of Misanthrope to the extreme. The album, primarily composed by Jean-Jacques Moréac is achieved, original and even more complex." The French release of Sadistic Sex Daemon has officially been announced for March the 25th, 2003. The date of the international release is not know yet. Misanthrope on the Holy Bible volume IV 21/11/02

Misanthrope will feature on the Holy Bible volume IV with a new song that will not appear on the new album: Contemplation. The Holy Bible volume IV will be available as a simple CD or as a limited edition collector box of 4 CDs with the last three volumes of the Holy Bible and the tribute to Paradise Lost (that also features a cover song from Misanthrope).

Sadistic Sex Deamon, the new album 12/11/02

Some good news coming from Holy Records (the translation is mine): Misanthrope has started the recording of its new album titled "Sadistic Sex Deamon" after 6 months of intense work on the composition. The worthy successor of "Misanthrope Immortel" will actually see the light. 10 new titles will be recorded and produced par Jean-Jacques Moréac during the winter at the studio "Le Manoir des Déportés" on the biggest console in the world, an SSL 9080J ULTIMATION new generation of the Parisian studio Recorder. All the lyrics are obviously signed by S.A.S de l'Argilière, always extreme, always the dandy of the shadows in a poetic decadence never reached before. For the first time the album will be in French exclusively! 100% dedicated to the French fans of the band. Misanthrope want to pay homage to them. The final mix will take place in January at the Finish Astia studio with Anssi Kippo, producer of Children Of Bodom and Synergy. The studio is in Lappeenranta, 230 km east of Helsinki. The cold of the Finish mid-winter should give a monolitic dimension to the album. It is a formidably inspired Misanthrope that will enter the studio with new guitarist Anthony Scemama and excellent drummer Gaël Féret who already participated to the Immortals tour last year. This album is the beginning of a new Misanthropic era... on the 18th of February. I think there will be a different version of the album with English lyrics for international distribution but I need to confirm that.

First news of the forthcoming album 10/2/02

So you've already listened to Immortal more than a thousand times and you are starting to think that a new album from Misanthrope is overdue! Fear not, the band will treat us with their new record this year. The release of the next album is planned for Christmas 2002.

Argile is coming back 10/2/02

Remember the song Fire Before Snow from Argile on the Holy Bible 2 compilation? Argile is the band of Jean-Jacques Moréac and SAS de L'Argilère. They will be back soon with a full length album called The Monotonous Moment of a Monologue. This has been a long delayed project due to the time contrainsts. News from the tour 23/10/01

Misanthrope is getting ready for tonight's concert, in Nancy. In just a few short hours! Yearning and Gloomy Grim seem to complete the show perfectly and the three bands are obviously getting along very well. S.A.S de l'Argilière is ecstatic about the "super ambiance" at the three shows from the begining of the tour. The songs from the album Immortel are a huge success live. But we were all expecting it! :-) Songs like Les Empereurs du Néant or Khopirron could only be superb on stage. A word from S.A.S: "We are waiting for you all"... Well, I'm coming.
